The service

Book Popup offers free read-along books: classic stories with illustrations and narration. It is free to use and needs no account. We may add, change or remove books and features, or pause the site, at any time.

The stories and our work

The story texts come from editions in the public domain, and each book names its author or translator. The illustrations, animations, narration, translations and the design of the site are made by Book Popup, with the help of AI tools.

You are welcome to read, listen and share links to the books for personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t copy, download in bulk, re-host, sell or republish our illustrations, narration or translations without our written permission.

Using the site fairly

Don’t try to disrupt the site, get around its security, overload it, or collect its content with automated tools beyond what normal browsing and search-engine indexing do.

Children

The books are made for children to enjoy, ideally with a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians decide which stories suit their child. Some classic tales reflect the attitudes of the time they were written.

Accuracy

We work to keep the texts faithful to their sources, but narration, illustrations and translations can contain mistakes. If you spot one, please tell us.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Book Popup is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be waived.

Our videos

We publish the books as videos on our own YouTube channel, Facebook Page and Instagram account, uploading them with a tool that uses YouTube API Services. In using it we agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. What that tool handles is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and contact
